Window blinds have been widely used as common window treatment. This is because of their affordability, appearance and durability. Choosing vertical wooden blinds makes it easier to operate most especially on long windows.

Consider your budget for blinds. Decide the material, style and the brand of the window blinds you want to put in your house or office. Wooden venetican blinds would cost you more especially if you want to put throughout your house. Select the blinds that suit your scheme’s design. For instance, metallic blinds are good on electric or midcentury designs while wooden blinds look fabulous for the traditional designs. Traditional designs also look good on vertical blinds

Consider the weight of the material before buying. Select wooden blinds or any other material that will complement the décor in your room or office. Metal window blinds are much lighter than wooden blinds but this will also depend on the purpose of the room and your taste.

Consider the control types used in lowering and raising the blinds. Some window blinds are cordless; some have corded lifts while some come with loop chains.

Find out about the warranty of the manufactures of the wooden venetican blinds you intend to buy. Some manufacturers will give a warranty for any defects or color fading of the blinds.

Consider buying accessories for your window blinds. You can get valances which add class to your blinds especially the horizontal and vertical ones.
