They key in making a huge amount of gold is to try and get yourself a real bargain on the auction house. One key thing I see a lot of people not doing is selling their green items on the AH. Running dungeons will net you a decent amount of gold over time. Use your professions to get a great amount of gold.
Make sure you run your daily quests every well... day! Do not go wasting your gold once you have it, let it stockpile a little bit.
Professions that really compliment each other are enchanting and tailoring. Blacksmithing and mining work perfectly together as well.
Two more great professions to use together is leatherworking and skinning. I have always had a favourite couple of professions, they are herbalism and alchemy.
It is a pretty good way to go if you collect two gathering professions. You can pick up some decent amounts of gold if you sell gun scopes with engineering. Structured organised raids can make you some gold.
I am going to give you some quick tips on what to look out for on the auction house. Always keep an eye on the epics on the AH these can be very profitable. Sell your gathering materials on the auction house.
Selling event items that are needed in events is a great way to get some gold. By skipping the majority of mobs with stealth rogues can get some good gold by killing dungeon bosses. Druids also have the ability to stealth which can be great.
Never beg for gold it is really not worth it. There used to be a great way to get gold at level 70, by going to Karazhans back door and grinding the Philanthropists. Never lend anyone any gold, you probably won't see it again. Guild members will often help you with making stuff for free.
Making gold has almost been completely covered now. Good luck with making your gold and remember try and be fair and you will earn some loyal customers.
